The Anniversary to Commemorate the Civil Rights Demonstrations, Inc. (BKA, The 40th ACCORD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization envisioned in 2002, established in 2003, and incorporated in 2004.
Our Mission is "Remembering, Recognizing, and Honoring all those who risked their lives to attain civil rights for all and celebrating St. Augustine's pivotal role in the Civil Rights Act of 1964." We are excited to introduce the 31 historic civil rights markers on the ACCORD Freedom Trail Project presented by The Northrop Grumman Corporation and one by ACCORD Member, Beth Levenbach of Lansdowne, PA.

Groups Unite for Museum Project
ACCORD, Inc. and the Civil Rights Museum of St. Augustine, Inc. unite to bring to fruition a Civil Rights Museum to commemorate the 1960s Movement of St. Augustine led by Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Activist Delores Miller Parks' Story Featured in Wells Fargo Newsletter: Teamworks
Delores Miller Parks along with others participated in a 1963 Sit-In at the Woolworth Lunch counter in the Nation's Oldest City. A Mural was recently unveiled at 33 King Street: the new location of the downtown branch of the Wells Fargo Bank which depicts that and other civil rights activities during that turbulent time of the 1960s civil rights movement. A packed house gathered at the Casa Monica Hotel on July 2, 2013 to hear Joanne Willis, former native St. Augustinian and resident of Indianapolis, Indiana tell of her heart wrenching experiences as a teenage activist.
The Mayor and City Commissioners of the St. Augustine Florida presented the highest honor to Civil Rights Leader, Dr. Robert B. Hayling at the ACCORD 7th Annual Freedom Trail Luncheon commemorating the signing of the Landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 and honoring the Heroes and Sheroes of the Civil Rights Movement of the Nation's Oldest City. click HERE to read more

1964 St. Augustine Civil Rights Activist, Joanne Willis, of Indianapolis, Indiana is the Keynote Speaker for the 7th Annual ACCORD Freedom Trail Luncheon. The lunchon will be held at the beautiful and historic Casa Monica Hotel on July 2, 2013: the 49th Anniversary of the Signing of the Landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964. Dr. Robert B. Hayling to Receive The Order of La Florida Award from the City of St. Augustine, Florida
The highest honor that the City of St. Augustine can bestow upon its citizenry is the Order of La Florida. On January 28th, after a heated debate, the City Commissioners changed the antiquated rules and will give the honor to two nominees. Please click HERE for more information.
